UPDATE on SKUNK...

Ok... This skunk incident is going to cost me therapy I believe. Since I have hit the skunk, my car has been parked at the very end of the driveway and I do mean the very end, down to the inch. I had the doors opened all day yesterday trying to air out or something. I know that my neighbors probably think I am really strange. They have seen me carry and throw (from a distance) coffee in the car as well as carpet fresh. Spray an air neutralizer through the sun roof. I am waiting on the phone call for someone to make sure that I am not on medication or either if I am taking the correct medication. Needless to say... the kids caught the bus this morning and I begged a co-worker to come pick me up. I have since received some more tips and will be trying those out this afternoon. As it stands it smell that flower coffee scented skunk. Still not an appealing smell.. I will keep you updated on how this goes. If I can find the solution, it is definately worth passing on for any future reference!!!!! I believe it would be the best advise ever received.
Until then!!

I surfed some sites for you. Basically, they said a few consistent things: 1. must neutralize, 2. must spray undercarriage of car, which will in effect eliminate odor or most of odor in car, 3. the sooner you do something, the better your results, 4. skunk spray is an oil, which is relevant in determining what to use to remove the oil, 5. there are like 4 different skunk breeds, but I knew that there were at least 2 types as I have severe allergies and asthma and there is one skunk smell that I wouldn't elect to use as perfume, but it is a more tolerable smell. The second skunk smell burns your nose hairs and makes you feel like you are chewing cotton as it messes with your tastebuds as well. I'm assuming you got ahold of the latter.

You will be wanting to swing by a hardware store and obtain a mask. The mask with some sort of air filter cleaning chips or something would probably be necessary and they run at least $16 or maybe more - has been awhile since I needed one of those. i picked the 7 most relevant and useful. Good luck. OH, and until you do something to the undercarriage, whatever you do to the inside is neglible at best.
