Christmas in the air!!!

I have been lagging a bit lately on the blog due to a sick household!!! YUCK!!! So I happy to be back on and catching up on everyone's blog posts. One of my favorites is Pickles on Pizza. You need to check her blog out. She is posted in my favorite links. Her blog is great and she is a very talented artist.

This weekend I have noticed the Christmas feeling starting to fill the air. I love this time of the year. I love the smell in the air and I love seeing the compassion that people have this time of the year. People buying decorations and getting prepared. My sister-in-law is very excited about this year because she is getting to decorate her house for the first time. It has been fun watching the excitement she has had. She has been like a kid on the loose at a toy store. I am happy for her though.

We have also been talking about Christmas traditions. She cuts hair so hears many diffferent ones; some very unique! This to me is what makes the holiday even more special, anything time really. I think they are great stories to share.

I have one with my kids. They know every Christmas Eve they get to unwrap the "Christmas Pjs". I never meant for this to turn into a tradition, but they look forward to this now every year and cannot wait to open them Christmas Eve and sleep in them. My son, who is now 6, a couple of years ago, opened his and just hugged my neck and cried and thanked me a hundred time. It was so sweet and funny all at the same time. He is the most sentimental boy I have ever met in my life. That is one of the things we have been doing for years and I guess I will continue to do for them until they have a family of their own.

I would love to hear some of your holiday traditions. Again, I think these stories are great! It also gets us excited and something to look forward to. I hope you will share your story!

Until next time.....

My husband and I have our own little tradition. We wait until we have done all of the visiting and eating and driving and getting and giving...and we open our gifts for each other alone at home. Just the 2 of us opening what we have picked for each other.

Oh and thanks for the sweet compliment on you blog! :) I love to read yours too!
